El 12 de junio, el Juez de Control<\/strong>, adscrito al Juzgado de Proceso y Procedimiento Oral del Distrito Judicial de Xalapa<\/strong>, Veracruz, resolver\u00e1 la impugnaci\u00f3n<\/strong> contra el cierre de investigaci\u00f3n por tortura<\/strong>, presentada por Diego Fernando Bonilla<\/strong>, persona ind\u00edgena \u00f1uh\u00fa<\/strong> de la sierra norte de Veracruz<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

En mayo de 2023, Diego Fernando fue testigo<\/strong> de un homicidio. Al declarar, fue torturado por polic\u00edas ministeriales<\/strong> para que incriminara a un tercero presuntamente responsable.<\/p>\n

Diego Fernando, hablante de la lengua otom\u00ed<\/strong>, fue interrogado sin perspectiva cultural<\/strong>; su testimonio fue manipulado<\/strong> y traducido sin respeto a su lengua ni su versi\u00f3n; una declaraci\u00f3n falsa<\/strong> fue utilizada para aprehender a una persona que Diego Fernando no se\u00f1al\u00f3.<\/p>\n

A partir del apoyo de Radio Huayacotla<\/strong>, el Centro Prodh<\/strong> y el Comit\u00e9 de Derechos Humanos de la Sierra Norte<\/strong>, Diego Fernando denunci\u00f3 la tortura<\/strong> ocurrida durante su declaraci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

La Fiscal\u00eda<\/strong> abri\u00f3 una carpeta de investigaci\u00f3n, la cual qued\u00f3 sin avances durante meses y, en mayo de 2023, cerr\u00f3 el caso.<\/p>\n

Las organizaciones acompa\u00f1antes piden al Poder Judicial de Veracruz<\/strong> reabrir la carpeta y exigen a la Fiscal\u00eda del Estado<\/strong> realizar investigaciones con perspectiva cultural<\/strong> y de derechos<\/strong> humanos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
